Keen Observations on Life … Whether You Need Them or Not

A Little Valentine’s Day Favoritism

I’ve never been a big celebrator of Valentine’s Day. My husband is a big romantic, so we really have a year-long love affair … every year. I am thankful everyday to have him as a partner, and am pretty certain he feels the same way. But I love a great love story, whether it’s real life, or in books or in movies. Aside from my own, here are a few of my favorites:

My Favorite Romantic Books

  1. All the Queen’s Men, by Linda Howard
  2. Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon
  3. Hot Night, by Shannon McKenna
  4. Impulse, by Catherine Coulter
  5. Crazy Hot, by Tara Janzen
  6. The Penalty Box, by Becky Moore
  7. Shadow Dance, by Susan Andersen
  8. The Prize, by Julie Garwood
  9. Knight in Shining Armor, by Jude Deveraux
  10. Mr. Perfect, by Linda Howard

My Favorite Romantic Movies

  1. The Princess Bride
  2. I.Q.
  3. Romancing the Stone
  4. Always
  5. Timeline
  6. The Return of the King
  7. Continental Divide
  8. Wall-E
  9. Lady and the Tramp
  10. Working Girl

Author: Dolly R. Sickles

Writer, mother, wife, adventurer, agent of change, advocate, ally, volunteer, instructor ... I'm never bored. I write contemporary romance and romantic suspense under the name Becky Moore, and children’s literature under the name Dolly Dozier. You can also check me out at MacMillan Publishing’s Heroes & Heartbreakers, where I’m a romance blogger. During the fall and spring, you can find me in the classroom teaching other folks how to follow their dreams or how to fund their community outreach at Wake Technical Community College, and Central Carolina Community College. During the summer and at random times during the year, I'm out adventuring with my family.
