pies (Large)Normally, I would say that numbers give me the hives.

But since my Sweetie Pi was born 15 years ago on March 14, I have come to embrace the power of Pi. Pi is a numerical constant that represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter on a flat plane surface.The value is the same regardless of the size of the circle.

9th Pi DayAs a high-maintenance person, I have to chuckle at the lengthy explanation that is Pi. So I keep it short and sweet, since I have a vested interest. Plus, there’s only room for one high-maintenance person around here. My sweetie Pi is my Sweet Pea, who revels in sharing his birthday with Albert Einstein, excelling in mathematics and computer programming, and generally keeps me on my toes. So if you wonder, like I do, how this mathematical Pi Day could hold such wonder for a left-brained writer … it’s because we call our mathematical constant Peyton.
