Keen Observations on Life … Whether You Need Them or Not

Book Reviewer

I’m an avid reader of just about anything, but my favorite genre is romance. I’ve been a book reviewer and blogger for a couple of years, and was with MacMillan Publishing’s Heroes & Heartbreakers, USA Today’s Happy Ever After and Frolic before those sites shuttered or changed formats. Now you can find me as a Contributor over at BookPage and All About Romance. Frolic still have their robust series of reviews online, but everything else can be found over at Goodreads and NetGalley.

My reviews span historical to contemporary, and occasionally some romantic suspense. Sometimes they’re in print, and sometimes just online. A couple interesting recent pieces include my interview and book review for Kennedy Ryan’s Before I Let Go, and reviews of Radiant Sin, The Kiss Curse, The Intimacy Experiment, and these epistolary romances. You can find BookPage on Issuu.

Mid-2021 I started doing reviews for All About Romance, which has been around for years. This is a great resource for straight-up fans of romance. One of my favorite reviews I’ve written, mostly because it was fun to read and fun to write, was Annika Martin’s Just Not That Into Billionaires. I was still a guest reviewer then. And a recent review is Toni Anderson’s Cold As Ice. Check ’em out when you’ve got a chance.

Frolic is an entertainment media company co-founded by former E! President Lisa Berger and former AwesomenessTV executive Sarah Penna. I wrote a monthly round-up of romantic suspense for them between January 2019 – May 2020. Their focus changed mid-2020 to focus more on their podcast network and movie/tv production, but they’ve kept their robust source of book reviews available. Check out my starter guide to romantic suspense, the cover reveal for my romantic suspense Mine By Design (as Becky Moore), and my interviews with Rachel Grant and Toni Anderson.
